A mosque has been built in or near the park recently.
As it turns out, Zarnegar Park has been turned into the location for Kabul Municipality. Here are some photos taken a few months ago - thanks to Mark in Kabul for these!

I'm not sure some of the views are possible to duplicate at this time. If you can send me your email address or a place to upload my Zarnegar Park photos I can pass along some from last year. I'll probably have occasion to visit ATRA at the Ministry of Communications in a few months and will try to get a view which shows the current layout of buildings there. (ATRA is on the 10th floor.) So beautiful! I saw the pics from the 1970s and am glad to see this park is still there with lovely buildings.
